The Anderson County 14th Annual Veterans Day Parade
Thursday, November 11, 2021, 6 p.m.
 
Parade Theme:          “Thank You Veterans of Anderson County for your sacrifice”
 
Entry Fee:                  There is NO entry fee, but donations are accepted, to be used for advertising.
 
Parade Rules & Regulations
  1. This parade is dedicated to the men and women who have served honorably in the United States Armed Forces. All entries shall conform to the theme, be patriotic and show respect and dignity to our veterans, active military and the United States Flag.
  2. All units must meet the standards established within the American Legion Preamble and Constitution in relationship to Americanism. The American Legion, the parade coordinator and committee reserve the right to refuse participation based on those standards, any entry that is not in good taste, inappropriate, or not in the best interest or in keeping with the theme of the parade.
  3. The only national flag allowed in the parade is the flag of the United States of America. The only state flag will be the flag of the State of Tennessee. Active duty, Reserve, National Guard and Scouting units may fly any flags or banner that is authorized for their unit. NO other flags are permitted in the parade. There will be NO deviations from this rule.
  4. There will be NO discharge of weapons during the parade.
  5. Throwing of Objects: Throwing of objects is strictly prohibited.  Exception of individually wrapped candy. (PLEASE IF YOU THROW CANDY GET IT TO THE SIDEWALKS). Participation in the parade in no way releases anyone from observing all laws and regulations of the City of Clinton or Anderson County.
  6. ALL vehicles must be operated by a licensed driver with a valid Tennessee Drivers License and have the appropriate Insurance. ALL Vehicles must be street legal. Any deviation of this must be approved prior to the parade.
  7. All animal entries must have on a diaper, bag or someone walking with a scoop. Any other question or concerns. (City Ordinance requires owners to pick up after their pets).
  8. Parade Route: The parade begins at Cullom St, left onto Market St., left on to N. Main St., then Right onto Broad St. and disperse.
  9. Pre-registration: Entries must pre-register by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Anyone entering at the last minute will be placed at the back of the line up.
  10. Parade Line-up:  The Parade Line Up will be in the parking lot on Commerce Street, behind the “Old Hammers” no later than 1 Hour before kickoff time.
